Phi Delta Theta brothers at App State
Our Story

A Brotherhood Built to Last

Phi Delta Theta at Appalachian State University โ€” the North Carolina Eta chapter โ€” was established in 2022, bringing one of America's most storied fraternities to the mountains of Boone, NC.

Nationally, Phi Delta Theta was founded in 1848 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio โ€” one of the Miami Triad and among the oldest fraternities in the country, with over 175 years of developing principled men.

Our chapter is committed to developing leaders who embody integrity, pursue academic excellence, and serve their communities both at App State and beyond.

What We Stand For

The Three Pillars

Every brother is expected to embody these principles not as ideals, but as daily practice.

๐Ÿค
Friendship
Brotherhood rooted in loyalty, trust, and mutual respect. We build genuine bonds that last a lifetime well beyond Boone.
๐Ÿ“š
Sound Learning
Academic excellence is a cornerstone of who we are. We challenge each other to grow intellectually and professionally every day.
โš–๏ธ
Rectitude
Moral character is non-negotiable. We are committed to integrity in everything we do โ€” in the classroom, on campus, and in our community.
๐ŸŒ
Service & Philanthropy
We give back actively โ€” from stream cleanups in the Blue Ridge Mountains to ALS awareness, service is part of who we are.
๐ŸŽ“
Leadership
Our brothers hold leadership roles across App State's campus, building skills that carry them into thriving careers and communities.
๐ŸŒ
Diversity
A brotherhood enriched by different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences is a stronger brotherhood. Everyone belongs here.
